We finished lunch and the burger gang met us
and we left
(right on time again) and headed on our way through some of the
beautiful
California desert. The butterflies were in huge numbers on this part of
the
ride, I thought we would all have yellow bikes when we arrived in Lake
Havasu.
This part of the ride was one of the longest stretches between gas
stops for
the whole ride; it was just over 117 miles.
We stopped in Videl
Junction, got
gassed up and bought a few drinks in the cockroach filled general
store, and
then headed on our way. At this point Steve noticed the uneven wear on
his back
tire of his Harley and it began to worry him so he and Linda along with
Doug on
his metric bike, went in search for an open Motorcycle shop to find a
new tire.
Nothing was open, so they caught up with us and followed us to into
Lake
Havasu- the search for the new tire would begin again tomorrow.
