We got back to our Comfort Inn in Sedona
about 7:45, and
everyone was just about ready to ride for the longest day of riding on
the
trip. We left the hotel at 8:15 and were on our way for a quick
30-minute ride
to Flagstaff for a gas fill-up, and go.
I was leading this section of the ride with Mark as my wingman
and Craig
in the tail gunner spot.
Riding
out of Sedona was beautiful, a twisty tree
covered road, with a stream on one side and mountains on the other.
There were
cabins along the stream, as we rode by there were folks out on they
back
porches waving at us, while they drank their morning coffee. What a
life they
have. Around every curve it was another beautiful sight. The Sedona
area is one
of the most beautiful areas I have ever seen. While riding out of
Sedona, we
made an unscheduled shopping stop at a roadside rest area; it was an
area
overlooking the trees and mountains.
There were Indian ladies selling
their
jewelry- I think most everyone picked up something here. Riding out of
the rest
area, we continued on to Flagstaff.
